Newsky SA, a proud member of the Conference Rental Alliance, recently played a key role in the successful organization of the Conference of Foreign Ministers of OIC Member States. Held from August 29th to 30th, 2024, at the Palais des Congrès in Yaoundé, Cameroon, this prestigious event gathered representatives from the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the second-largest international organization after the United Nations, comprising 57 member states across four continents.
Newsky SA was selected by the Ministry of External Relations (MINREX) to provide technical support, equipping the event with top-notch Televic communication tools. 150 Televic conference units were installed across two main conference rooms, ensuring smooth interaction and debate. In the primary hall, which seated 1,500 attendees, 100 microphones were deployed, including 50 G3 wireless microphones and 50 Confidea TDD units.
Additionally, 300 infrared receivers (IR) and two TCAM tracking systems were utilized to enhance the conference experience. The event was expertly managed using Newsky SA’s proprietary debate management application, which enabled participants to request speaking time seamlessly, regulated by a built-in timer to ensure orderly discussions.
In the second hall, 50 Confidea TDD microphones and 50 infrared receivers were used to provide translation services, ensuring clear communication across languages.
